A Greener Festival For a Better Future

For the second year running, ZFF is introducing environmentally sustainable practices to become a greener festival! Like last year, ZFF has limited the use of paper and plastic, so program booklets are printed on recycled paper, invitations to festival events are exclusively digital, while plastic accreditations are swapped with digital or environmentally friendly alternatives. In order to reduce the number of printed materials, visitors are encouraged to use ZFF’s mobile app, where they can find the schedule and useful information about the festival program.

We continue our cooperation with the social cooperative Humana Nova in the field of sustainable and ecologically acceptable production of festival merchandise which will be available during ZFF. Also, during the festival, all festival locations will have cardboard boxes for recycling, in line with the unofficial festival green slogan: We recycle everything but films!

In cooperation with Creative Europe MEDIA, there will be a presentation in Industry about a training program called Torino Green Film Lab whose purpose is to raise environmental awareness in the audio-visual industry by educating European film professionals about green practices. In order to continue adopting green practices, ZFF joined the Green Charter For Film Festivals initiative and with the help of their platform it will continue to monitor consumption made in preparation and during this year’s festival.
