Spain’s entry for this year’s Oscars and the first Catalan film to win the Golden Bear for best film at Berlinale. For as long as they can remember, the Solé family has spent their summers picking peaches in their orchard in the tiny village of Alcarràs. But this year, the property landowners have other plans – to cut down the orchard and install solar panels. Faced with the end of an era, the loud and boisterous family gathers for one last harvest. As the branches bend under the weight of juicy fruits, the adults argue about uncertain future while little Iris enjoys the charms of summer.

Spanish screenwriter and director raised in a small Catalan village. She studied audiovisual communications in Barcelona and California and attended the London Film School (LFS). Her debut feature Summer 1993 (2017) won the Generation Kplus Grand Prix at Berlinale and the GWFF Award for Best First Feature.
