Although she was born in the Congo, 12-year-old Binti has spent her whole life in Belgium with her father Jovial. All she wants is a normal life. That and to be a famous vlogger, like her heroine Tatyana. When the police break into their house to deport them, Binti and Jovial go on the run. Along the way, Binti meets 11-year-old Elias, who runs an okapi rescue club, and the two become friends. Together they come up with a brilliant idea: they will make their parents fall in love so that Binti and Jovial can stay in Belgium. The film premiered at Sundance, while famous musician Baloji stars as Jovial.
