Teenager Željko and his younger brother live alone since their mother has been in the hospital. Željko has made a pact with himself about two things: he must finally take initiative and meet Tanja and he must get the money to buy a wig for his mother. A real one, made of natural hair. If he can do that, he feels things could get back on track. Then I see Tanja is one of the most beloved Croatian short films. It screened at Rotterdam and in Checkers, winning the Golden Pram. ZFF’s Main Program this year presents director Juraj Lerotić’s feature debut Safe Place.
