Fereshteh, a young Iranian woman, seemingly leads a very ordinary life in Teheran. When she’s not studying, she is working at a printers’ shop. She is dreaming of moving to the US, but can’t seem to find the time for a language course. She is a mothwer, but her child is illegitimate. When her parents announce a surprise visit, her friend Atefeh will help her. The two of them embark on an odyssey through the city, during which they must carefully weigh up who their allies are. This tense drama, taking place in one day, premiered at the Berlinale. The director Ali Asgari is known to the ZFF audience for his acclaimed film Disappearance (ZFF 2017).
