Three women of different ages meet in an eye clinic waiting room. Listening to a conversation between older women, young girl Saša learns about the tragedy that left one of them visually impaired. Indifference turns to a feeling of closeness and acknowledgement. But the possibility of communication is irretrievably lost. Belladonna was awarded Best Short in the Horizons program at Venice and received a Special Mention at Checkers in 2015. ZFF’s Main Program this year presents her feature debut Traces, soon also screening in competition at the Warsaw Film Festival.

Director, editor and screenwriter. She graduated in Film and TV Editing at ADU. Her first creative short Belladonnawas awarded the Golden Lion in the Horizons program at Venice, after which it was screened at Sundance, Rotterdam and elsewhere. Her second short Cherries (2017) premiered in the Directors’ Fortnight section in Cannes, while Tina (2019) premiered at the Sarajevo Film Festival.
