Through a series of impressions, this short documentary portrays the motifs of burden, sin and rest in the Christian painting The Broad and the Narrow Way, examining the inequalities that still exists between the different ethnic groups in the South African city of Sutherland.

Dvoika is creative duo Matjaž Jamnik and Gaja Naja Rojec. They graduated in film from AGRFT in Ljubljana. Their graduation film Nobody Told Me I Have to Love You (2019), was the first Slovenian film selected for the Cannes Cinéfondation program. They received the national Prešeren Award. Framing Sutherland is their first independent project, produced and created in South Africa.
