A textbook example of human nature. The Human Torch is a one-shot short film about a traffic crossing at night, where respectable people wait for the light to change. The film is about losing one’s sense of security in an uncontrollably changing world.

Risto-Pekka Blom

Born in 1970. He received a technical education, but never felt motivated to pursue a career in the field. Spent a few years searching for a purpose in life, until the age of 27, when he enrolled in a short course in Audiovisual Media and Expression and subsequently graduated from the Tampere Polytechnic School of Art and Media. His films have been exhibited at festivals and events in over 20 countries.
