On election night in May 1981, celebrations spill out into the streets and there is optimism and hope in the air. But Élisabet (Charlotte Gainsbourg) is not in a mood for festivities. Her husband has left her to take care of their two teenage children on her own. Not giving in to defeat, she finds work at a late-night radio show and invites a troubled teenager Talulah into their home. Although her stay with them is brief, Talulah will leave an indelible mark on Élisabet and her children’s lives. This light-hearted, optimistic drama premiered at Berlinale and screened at Karlovy Vary.
