Twenty years after idyllic summer holidays she spent with her father at a Turkish resort, Sophie recalls their time together. She watches home videos and fills in the gaps with real and imagined memories attempting to create a fuller picture of the father she never completely knew. Aftersun premiered at the Cannes Critics’ Week, followed by festivals in Toronto, Karlovy Vary and elsewhere. Produced by Oscar-winning director Barry Jenkins (Moonlight, If Beale Street Could Talk), with Paul Mescal, known for his roles in The Lost Daughter and Normal People, starring as the father.
